Description
Samhain, an old Celtic fire festival, similar in its meaning to the Day of the Dead or All Saint’s Day, is typically celebrated on the same day as Halloween. Contrary to this, commercialized ‘fun’ holiday, it invites one to engage in deep introspection, ancestor veneration, honoring cultural / family tradition and to weave protective magic for the darker half of the year. This fall holiday also celebrates the third harvest (harvest of the nuts) and fully throws us kitchen witches into winter preparations.
This festival is all about connecting to realms unseen, to remembering those who came before you, celebrating the natural cycle of life and death, of growth and decay, and embracing the darkness of the season.
In this online workshop, you will experience the magic that lies in the unseen, the healing that can come from connecting with your roots, and the deep understanding of one’s own soul that can be discovered in connection with the ancestors. This is a workshop diving into the beauty and melancholy of autumn – enjoy being guided in your celebration, rediscovering the joys of magical living, and learning new skills for your witches’ toolkit, with daily prompts over email. This includes wonderful recipes for kitchen and cottage witches, seasonal meditations and guided visualizations for a moment of mindfulness in your day, fun magical DIYs and cottage witchery to bring the spirit of the season into your house, journal prompts and activities based on prevalent seasonal shifts and energies, folk witchcraft, history, lore, traditions and stories about this time of year, easy yet profound ritual and spell ideas for Samhain, and much more magical mischief.
