Finding Magick in the Mundane
Welcome, beautiful soul, to my magical little corner of the internet.
I decided to make the witches’ path a magical space on the internet to help you find guidance, company, or help on your own path in witchcraft. It is a place to create bridges and junctions – so you can cross paths with other practitioners and find wonderful, like-minded people.
For now, it is also the platform for any kind of witchcraft retreats or workshops that I will be organizing in the near future.
These get-togethers are a wonderful way to learn from each other, expand your witchcraft practice, find inner happiness, work on self-discovery and growth and meet new friends from all over the world.
In the future, this website will also contain articles on witchcraft techniques, folkloric tidbits, spells, ritual ideas, and kitchen witch recipes – in short, everything that makes our wild witch hearts sing. Be welcome and have an enchanting time here!
A little bit of magick and spice and everything nice...
My name is Bex, and I am the creatrix behind the YouTube channel The Witches’ Cookery and your companion on the witches’ path. I have been a practicing witch for almost two decades, following a secular, green path and mainly focusing on cottage and kitchen witchery.
I love all things cozy, yummy, whimsical, fun, and colorful – if I had to compare myself to a fictional witch character I’d have to say, that I have probably a bit of Molly Weasley in me paired with the inappropriate humor of Nanny Ogg.
‘Work magick into the mundane’ is my motto and I try my best to always see the beauty and magic in everything around me: nature, people, tasks and chores, a freshly brewed cup of coffee… simply infusing my life with as much wonder as possible.
Witchcraft to me is a lifestyle that involves getting to know yourself and your connection with the world around you, working with what life and nature provide, involving seasonal, natural, or emotional energies into your practice, and adding positivity to your life through creativity, ritual, and mindfulness. Being a witch feels extremely empowering and deeply fulfilling on so many levels.
My professional background lies in Psychology – the magic of the mind and how it works has always been a big fascination to me – and it is definitely noticeable in my spellwork and rituals, that they will always involve a bit of scientifically proven something to give the magick that extra little push.
I definitely would describe my beliefs in witchcraft as skeptical – as I am not a believer in the supernatural – typically I look for the explanation behind practices or just let my intuition guide me. But I also know that we all live our own reality and our own truth.
Growing up in Bavaria – a truly enchanting area, rich in traditions, folklore, and history – I always had a big love for old stories and rural superstitions.
Folk witchcraft fascinates me – the pagan roots of today’s traditions. In modern times they become less and less visible, but they give such a sense of comfort and connectedness, and I strive to preserve this in my practice and through the knowledge I share.
In my free time, I love to bake and cook, go on long walks while listening to an audiobook, or enjoy a nice glass of something with friends.
Now that you know a little more about me, I would love to get to know you…
