Join us for a magical Yule celebration at the Yule & Rauhnächte Day Retreat, hosted at Natur Zauberei—a cozy, witchy sanctuary I’ve lovingly created to provide a safe and welcoming space for witches, spiritual seekers, and magical folk to gather. At this retreat, you will reflect on the year gone by, celebrate the magic of Yule, and learn all about the ancient German traditions of the Rauhnächte—the sacred twelve nights that mark the transition from the old year to the new with lots of traditional oracle and divination practices as well as home cleansings. This is a day designed for deep reflection, hands-on magical creation (to prepare you for the Rauhnächte ahead), and connection with a supportive community.
Yule, the Winter Solstice, marks the rebirth of the sun, the return of the light, and the beginning of a new cycle. Together, we’ll celebrate this ancient festival by:
Reflecting on the personal lessons and growth of 2024, acknowledging the challenges we’ve overcome, and preparing to release what no longer serves us.
Weather permitting, we’ll end the day with a Yule Bonfire Ritual, where we’ll burn away old energies and set powerful intentions for the year ahead.

The Rauhnächte (also known as the “Twelve Nights” or “The nights of the Wild Hunt”) are a sacred time steeped in ancient Germanic folklore. These twelve nights, starting from the Winter Solstice and ending in early January, are considered a time when the veil between worlds is thin—making them perfect for reflection, divination, and connecting with the spirit realm. Each of these nights is believed to correspond to one of the twelve months of the upcoming year, and by paying close attention to dreams, signs, and oracle readings during these nights, you can gain insight into the year ahead.

Expect rich stews, root vegetables, spiced drinks, and desserts filled with winter spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves—all meant to ground and warm you from the inside out.
